After failing to find a solution for a chronic voice problem through the medical practitioners of his time, Alexander began his own self-examination and corrected his limitations.
The observations of his own behaviors became "an educational process recognizing and overcoming reactive, habitual limitations in movement and thinking" now known as the "Alexander Technique" and is still being taught.
